Supplement Review: PureFit Nutrition Bars

I usually shy away from most protein / energy bars because they tend to be too harsh on my stomach.  I don’t consider myself to have a sensitive stomach but for whatever reason, when it comes to protein nutrition bars, my stomach just doesn’t seem to agree with them (with the exception of PowerBar brand bars)
I was approached by a representative from PureFit Nutrition Bars a couple of weeks ago to sample their product.  I initially hesitated – although they are touted as being the “#1 selling, wheat, gluten, and dairy free high-protein nutrition bars on the market for the past 10 years”, I didn’t want to deal with my usual stomach issues after giving them a try.
Before I get into my review of them, let me first give you a brief background of PureFit Nutrition Bars.

Why I Love Them
Easy on my stomach.  Hands down – the most important feature, for me, of a protein/energy bar is how my stomach reacts to it.  After giving them a try on six different occasions, I have YET to have any stomach aches or pains!
They are YUMMY.  I adore four of the flavors – in order of preference: Chocolate Brownie, Peanut Butter Crunch, Granola Crunch, Almond Crunch. (Note: I did not enjoy the Berry Almond Crunch – but I am not a huge fan of berry flavored foods/drinks.)
They are filling.  I only eat 1/2 bar at a time and was surprised at how full and satisfied I was.
After a few successful experiences, I gave them a try before a tempo run.  I ate 1/2 bar about 30 min before my workout.  I felt fantastic throughout the entire run and had NO stomach issues!  (Note: I have not eaten a bar during a run yet.)
