How To Get Fit For Free

There are several ways to stay fit at home that are free. You don’t need to pay for the gym or fitness classes to get into top shape. Here are several free ways to stay fit from the comfort of your home.

Go For A Run

It is free to go for a run. Running is one of the best ways to keep yourself fit and healthy. It doesn’t matter where you run, just that you. You can run around your block or neighborhood or through the local countryside or woods. Running is great for the body and an excellent way to build stamina and keep yourself healthy. If you run regularly, then you will find that it becomes easier and easier over time and you will be able to run longer and longer distances before you start to feel tired or out of breath. This is a great sign that you have become fitter and you did it all without spending a penny. All you need is a t-shirt, some shorts or leggings, and trainers. You don’t need specialized running equipment to start running, just get out there and run.

YouTube Videos

YouTube is a fantastic resource. It is full of videos about how to do anything from yoga to how to use a pull up bar. You can follow tutorial videos, exercise guides or full exercise sessions for basically any muscle; all you need to do is a little searching. Popular YouTubers like Adriene for Yoga with Adriene add new videos frequently, so even if you have done all of their current videos you won’t have to wait long for a new one. Following a fitness YouTuber and their videos can be a great way to motivate yourself and feel like you are attending a gym type exercise class from your own home. The best thing about them is that they are free. If you didn’t enjoy a video or YouTuber, then you can find another that is better suited to what you are after.

Use Your Body's Own Weight

This means doing things like sit-ups, push-ups and squats. You use your own body weight to exercise rather than using something like weights. This is a great free way to strengthen various muscles in your body. You can follow a guide like the ones on YouTube, or you can set your own plan. If you gradually increase the number of each you do each day, you will notice that you become stronger over time. Gradually increasing the time you spend in the plank position, for example, will slowly strength both your arms and your core. There are a lot of exercises that you can do just be using your bodies own weight. Plenty of exercises are available to get you started, and you can research more at your own leisure. However, the important thing here is that they are all free and that you won’t have to spend anything on strengthening your body plus you can do it all from your own home.
