Some products make promises that they just can't keep. Other products are so frugal and effective that they become daily, weekly, or monthly staples of your personal or fitness regimen. But which wellness products are excellent values and which are junk? How do you sort out the helpful products from the huge disappointments?
The fitness industry is infamous for hawking thousands of low quality gadgets and snake oils that don't work, while promising miraculous results at little effort. In fact, fitness product scams have damaged the entire fitness and dietary supplement industry in terms of credibility and safety. From abdominal belts that will sculpt a 6-pack out of your beer gut while you sit on the couch to protein powders that turn you into Mr. Olympia. Everyone wants a quick fix and companies have been quick to exaggerate or lie about product or service benefits to sell these consumers. I have heard, seen, and often times tried it all during my tenure as a health professional and frugal expert, for better or for worse to help you save money.
There is no substitution for hard workouts, disciplined nutrition, and patience but there are some nutritional supplements and frugal fitness equipment products that can help keep you healthy and optimized on your fitness path. There are products and services that can make all the difference in your exercise, diet, and wellness regimen. Some herbs and dietary supps will improve your health much better than medications will. And some workout equipment may help you lose dozens of pounds of fat or add major muscle mass.
