Proud To Be Drug Free!

If you didn't hear about it, there was another list seized by law enforcement from a Canadian doctor that was treating dozens of professional athletes with illegal testosterone and human growth hormones. I'm not sure if it was conclusive who the athletes were (they were coded) but from the dates and locations it is making things look even worse for Tiger Woods, Alex Rodriguez, and David Ortiz among others. With all of the scandals of illegal performance enhancing drugs over the years, I wanted to briefly reiterate that I do not encourage or condone any illegal drug use. Some of my clients and consultations over the years have asked me if they should take steroids and I always say absolutely not. Unfortunately, there are a lot of personal trainers out there that do use these drugs and even deal them to their clients. These drugs have extremely dangerous physical and psychological side effects that are not worth the risk for anyone.

I am very proud to say that I have never taken any illegal performance enhancing drugs in my life and I never will. I am a proud natural bodybuilder that maintains a physique from hard work and consistency, without the aid of synthetic testosterone, human growth hormone, and amphetamines. I still laugh a little bit when people ask me if I'm on steroids or if I've ever taken steroids. I try to take it as a compliment but anyone with even a little knowledge of the subject would know I never have. I'm 5'5" and normally about 160 lbs, with anywhere from 9-14% bodyfat depending on the time of year and my goal. These are decent statistics but by no means are they extraordinary or unnatural. If I was on steroids or HGH, I would weight about 185 lbs with about 5-6% bodyfat and my strength numbers would be enormous. Big difference but not nearly worth all of the risks. I am proud to continue to be drug-free and train the best clients in the world to be the same way! It just takes a little more hard work but that isn't a bad thing.
