Frugal Healthy Recipes: Date Nut Bars

Date Nut Bars
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
pinch salt
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/4 cup honey
1 mashed banana
pinch of cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine oats, flour, salt, sunflower seeds, walnuts and dates in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix the mashed banana and the honey. *Tip: coat the measuring cup in oil before pouring the honey in and it will slide right out! Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and slice into rectangles.
