It’s peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly time! (You’re welcome. Feel free to sing that in your head all day.)
OK so this recipe is simultaneously oddly weird and intriguing which is why I had to try it!
I found this recipe on the lid of my Smucker’s All Natural Peanut Butter jar, of all places. That’s pretty creative actually.
But it’s sort of hard to keep the cap of a peanut butter jar because it wanders everywhere around the house. I find it in the living room, I find it on my desk, by the phone (where it ends up when no one knows where to put it). It’s very confusing. Yet convenient. Sort of like the recipe itself! I suppose I could write it down somewhere…
Anyhoo.
I just love this for the protein and frozen yogurt. You got your dairy, you got your protein, you got your fruit. It’s like peanut butter and jelly in a cup! It really is, actually. But without the bread and much more delicious-er than that sounds when I say it out loud. Here’s the lid-less recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup peanut butter (I obviously use Smucker’s All Natural, but I also would use the generic store version of all-natural too. We only use natural around here but feel free to try the other.)
- 1/2 cup red raspberry preserves (I used Smucker’s low-sugar but only because of the low-sugar part, you can use any type of preserves.
- 1 cup sugar-free vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt (I used frozen yogurt)
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 2/3 cup frozen mixed berries
Directions:
Combine into blender & blend until smooth! This serves 3.
