How To Decide Between A Fitness Consultant Or Personal Trainer

The United States is among the top five most obese countries in the world. This is for a lot of different reasons and we have yet to find a concrete solution for this problem. Yes, there are gyms and healthier food choices, but it is up to the individual to make the change in their life. Sometimes people's self-esteem is so low and their minds so weak that they look to others for motivation and will even pay for a solution. For that reason in this article we will be discussing the differences and help you decide between a fitness consultant or a personal trainer.

How To Decide Between A Fitness Consultant Or Personal Trainer

Personal training has become a very lucrative business for these trainers because they can charge for each session, a package of sessions, or a monthly fee. By definition a "consultant" is simply someone who provides information and advice as a professional. A "trainer", on the other hand is someone who will provide assistance to train a person or an animal. Consulting then is not as powerful as training because fitness consultations will only give you the information and/or advice, but may not actually show you how you can train in the gym. You can try both a fitness consulting company or look for personal trainers, but we advise that if you want to get the best results you should hire a personal trainer. So what are the reasons why you should hire a personal trainer?

● Accountability
● Routine
● Growth
● Food advice
● Motivation
● Return on Investment

Accountability is one of the main reasons why people don't meet their goals and don't do what they envision in their minds. This is one of the reasons why students have to go to school because the teacher is there to keep them accountable and to help them pass onto the next grade. If you're paying someone to help you be healthier and fit, you better believe they will keep you accountable. Having and keeping a routine is the only way to make progress. You can't go to the gym once and expect to see results, just like you can't get good at anything by only doing it once or a few times and then stopping.

If you remain accountable and keep a routine you will begin to see growth in your health meter. Depending upon your goals you may want to grow your muscles or lose weight, but by having a trainer all of this will not only be possible it will be done. The best thing that a trainer can do for you is guide you and show you what meals you need to be having based on your goals. For example, right now I am trying to "bulk up" and gain more muscle mass so I am in a "caloric surplus" which means I am eating more than I should. Finally, a trainer will keep you motivated and will be a great return on investment with the results showing on your physique.

Conclusion

In conclusion in this article we have discussed the topic of personal fitness and how you can make a very positive change in your life by hiring someone to help you reach your health goals. In the intro we talked about the obesity state of our country but didn't provide some of the reasons so we feel like it's a good way to wrap up this article. We are obese because we eat more than we exercise, period.
