Frugal Recipe: Asian Healthier Hamburger Helper

Makes 6 – 1 cup servings

2 cups of rice (not instant)
1 lb of lean hamburger
2 cups of frozen peas
1/4 c of oyster flavored sauce (in asian food isle at markets)

In frying pan, sauteed hamburger until brown and crumbled. Add peas and oyster flavored sauce and heat through. It is o.k. if the peas are still frozen. Set aside.
Cook rice according to directions. Half way through the cooking process, once water has evaporated, add cooked hamburger mixture. Continue cooking until rice is completely cooked and gently blend hamburger mixture into the rice until completely incorporated.
