Frugal Pet Recipe: Doggie Meatballs!

Frugal Pets: Also a big hit with cats, my cat Chewie loves em! (although she is dog-like)

These are yummy little treats you can give to your doggie, but not too often. 
Your doggie will be kissing you big time.  
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Makes: 24  -3/4 inch in diameter, meatballs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Ingredients and directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together -
½ pound ground beef (90% or more)
1/3 cup of grated mild cheddar cheese
1 medium, finely chopped carrot
½ cup of gluten free bread crumbs, regular bread crumbs or fine oatmeal
1 beaten egg
3 tablespoon of low sodium tomato paste
Using a small spoon, scoop meat mixture and roll into a mini sized meatball.
Place meatballs onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until meatball is done. Take out of oven and cool.
Store any uneaten meatballs in the refrigerator in a container with a lid or in the freezer.
