Sam's Super Simple Sweet & Salty Trail Mix

 How about a couple new recipes to spice up this dreary Wednesday? I’m so tired and my brain is fried, so I figured, instead of two night’s in a row of no writing, I’d at least give you a couple good recipes. I can’t leave my loyal readers hanging now can I? 
Sam’s Super Simple Sweet and Salty Trail Mix
Makes approximately 16 cups (Don’t be alarmed, it goes fast)
  • 3 apples – peeled, diced, and dehydrated. I used two honey crisp and one granny smith.
  • 1 cup shelled walnuts
  • 1/2 cup shelled pecans
  • 2 cups roasted, salted sunflower kernels
  • 1 1/4 cups dried cranberries
  • 1 1/4 cups raisins
  • 3 cups pretzel sticks
Combine all ingredients, except for the pretzels, mix well. Gently mix in pretzel sticks. Dig in!

Variation: Mix all ingredients together, except for the pretzels. Serve mixed in yogurt – it’s fantastic.
