Amish White Bread Vegan Recipe


The Amish are known for their keeping things simple and proficient. Their Amish white bread is no exception, and it's a delicious simple option for aspiring breadmakers and bold bakers. I've switched a couple ingredients as well to make this lower in sugar and completely vegan as well. Enjoy the frugal feast!

Serves: 24

Ingredients: 

- 2 cups warm filtered water 110 degrees 
- 1/2 cup granulated stevia  
- 1-1/2 tbsp active dry yeast 
- 2 teaspoon salt 
- 1/4 cup olive or canola oil 
- 6 cups bread flour 

Instructions:

Place all ingredients into the pan of the bread machine in the order suggested by the breadmaker. Select dough setting and press start. Remove dough from pan and place on floured surface. Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half. Shape into loaves, and place into two well oiled 9×5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Enjoy the frugal recipe you bold baker!
